It's not really a surprise since tests were in progress, but it's official since yesterday, Facebook is deploying Trending Topics for desktop users. These popular topics will be displayed in real time on the right side of the screen where the ticker is. Each popular topic will also be presented by a short contextualization sentence. By clicking on a trend, the user will be able to see the posts (obviously public) related to the subject. The initial display includes 3 popular topics, but it can be extended to more topics and become a real dedicated newsfeed. We often talk about Facebook and Twitter, but a little less often about Google+. And yet, the Mountain View social network is also doing well. Certain specific features, such as communities, the system of circles and extensive personalization of photos, allow the social network to stand out and attract many followers. But what is it exactly? How many users for Google+? How important is mobile on Google+? How old are Google+ members and are women underrepresented on the network? Luca Della Dora , from the agency We Are Social , has produced a simple infographic to better understand Google+. Google+ welcomes 359 million active users each month, or 31% of subscribers.
